TABPHE 38th Annual State Conference

March 3-5, 2011 •Hilton Austin Airport Hotel
Austin, Texas

The Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education (TABPHE) is proud to collaborate once again with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to provide this unique opportunity.

TABPHE and THECB invite you and other college and university personnel to participate in what will be the year’s best investment toward your professional development and exploration of issues effecting African-American males. The Coordinating Board’s P-16 Division continues to enhance its African-American Male Initiative and will showcase successful programs from across the state. Both TABPHE and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board are committed to improving the
educational system and closing the educational gaps in Texas. The TABPHE-THECB Joint State Conference is specifically designed to address the educational needs of
Blacks in higher education, along with promoting the goals identified by the Coordinating Board’s African-American Male Advisory Committee. This prestigious affair will attract attention across the state by bringing together representatives from academia, state government, corporations, private industry and non-profit organizations. This joint conference will also be an excellent venue for local, state and national businesses to showcase their products and services. The host city for this event is Austin, the “Capital City,” and it has much to offer. You will want to plan additional time to venture out and enjoy the sights & sounds around town. The TABPHE-THECB Joint Conference is your opportunity to serve and play a significant role in a movement to prepare the way for the future!
