TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF BLACK PERSONNEL IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Welcome to the
TABPHE Tarrant County Chapter

The Tarrant County Chapter seeks to serve and support all black personnel in higher education at the following institutions: Tarleton State University - Fort Worth, Texas Wesleyan University, TCU, Tarrant County College, University of Texas at Arlington, UNT - Health Science Center.

Our Goals

  • Meeting like Minded People: To share and engage in conversation and implement solutions toward barriers that hinder black personnel in higher education.

  • Networking: To actively engage in network-building activities with local, state, and national organizations for the purpose of securing changes in laws and policies detrimental to our constituents.

  • Recruitment/Retention: To assist and serve our members, and the institutions where we work by establishing effective institutional programs to recruit and retain black personnel (professional staff & faculty), and students in higher education

  • Sharing Information: TABPHE and the Austin chapter encourages its members to educate college/university leadership about African-American faculty, staff and student recruitment & retention strategies.
